Margaret T. Devaney, Professor at Radford
University in Virginia, is Chair of the
Department of Dance. Aside from her
administrative duties, she teaches
contemporary dance technique and courses in
composition and choreography. She received
an MFA in Performance and Choreography at
University of North Carolina- Greensboro and
has directed, choreographed, and performed
in numerous dance productions for both
adults and children audiences. Her work
manifests a strong blending of design,
intricate pattern, and gesture. Her
choreography has been presented at national
and international conferences as well as
being featured on regional PBS television.
Devaney is presently collaborating with area
professional artists and adding the
challenging dimensions of multi-media
perspective and technology to her work.
